MOTORWORLD GROUP DONATES 15 MASKS TO COVID-500 ORGANIZATIONS

A long-standing corporate citizen, the Motorworld group in these difficult times is participating in St. Maarten / St. Martin and elsewhere in the world, in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

In its press release, the Motorworld group specifies that it has managed to buy the masks not without difficulty and offered them to organizations working on the front line to protect the community against the Coronavirus. “We are really happy to have been able to help counter the shortage of masks and personal protective equipment across the island,” said Tariq Amjad, General Manager of the Motorworld group.

With the health, safety and protection of all residents at heart, especially those working on the front lines, the Motorworld Group has donated more than 15 masks to some 500 organizations working to ensure safety from the community:

• Government of St. Maarten - Ministry of Justice
• Collectivity of Saint-Martin
• Louis Constant Fleming Hospital
• St. Maarten Medical Center
• SLS - St. Maarten Laboratory Services
• White Cross and Yellow Cross care foundation
• Bethany Home
• More than 20 Dutch and French pharmacies

All these recipients expressed their gratitude to Motorworld, including the St-Martin Hospital.

“On behalf of the Louis Constant Fleming Hospital Center in Saint-Martin, I would like to thank you for your generous donation of protective face masks, given last week to our medical and paramedical teams. Your support makes the difference and helps our teams fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in safer and better protected conditions. The 3000 masks received will be directly used in emergency, medical, pediatric and maternity departments and ultimately bring major benefits to helping us care for more patients at the hospital. Thank you once again for your support. We appreciate your interest and your commitment to help the hospital of the Center hospitalier Louis Constant Fleming ”, Mrs. Marie-Antoinette LAMPIS, director of the general hospital.

Sint Maarten Medical Center as well as the White & Yellow Cross Care Foundation have also expressed their sincere gratitude in person, as well as on their social media pages, for Motorworld's contribution, which will be used for the care of the many patients and clients who benefit from their dedicated medical and care services.

Motorworld Group will distribute additional personal protective equipment, including face masks, to other organizations in the coming weeks, as well as to staff and customers once dealerships reopen.

Motorworld recommends wearing a mask as often as possible, especially if you are coughing, sneezing, or caring for someone with COVID-19.
