This Tuesday, October 25 at 18 p.m. takes place the launch party of FCE (Women Heads of Business) St Martin / St-Barthélemy, a new association which wishes to bring together and help women who hold responsibilities in Saint-Martin, Sint Maarten and Saint-Barthélemy.

Founded in 1945, the Association aims to empower women in economic life and strengthen their presence – up to 30% of mandates – in decision-making bodies at local, regional and national level while informing and forming its members.

The strength of the FCE network

The loneliness of the head of the company is a reality. This is why having access to a network of entrepreneurs facing the same problems and economic and social realities is an opportunity. FCE wishes to promote solidarity, friendship and the sharing of experience through privileged links between its members. Leaders can talk to colleagues, help each other and mutually reinforce their capital of trust. Being a member of the FCE network makes it possible to break the isolation of the manager and to give him the benefit of an entrepreneurial family, whether he is responsible for an SME/SMI, a large company or a VSE and in interface with women in large groups

Promoting female entrepreneurship

In French VSEs-SMEs, barely more than 30% of managers are women, which is roughly the same percentage as 30 years ago. The proportion of women creators has slightly increased since it was only 27% in 2002 against 30% today. However, nearly one in five women is considering the entrepreneurial experience.

Still many obstacles...

There are still many obstacles to female entrepreneurship in France: the lack of support in the implementation of one's project, the fear of commitment or the difficulty in finding financing. The many prejudices that exist around female leaders all too often create self-censorship among potential business leaders.

…But partnerships as a source of development

FCE, through all of its communications and partnerships, aims to overcome these inequalities. In the common interest of employers' organizations looking for agents who are becoming increasingly rare, the FCE wish to position themselves to strengthen their visibility and their development, while facilitating contact between members.

Benevolence, openness, sharing, economic growth, personal development, so many topics that will be discussed during the launch party of the new FCE Saint-Martin/Saint-Barthélemy association. The opportunity for future members to discover the 1st female entrepreneurship network in the world. _AF
