The COM challenged the responsibility of the State for "not having illegally transferred to it the balance of the sums wagered at the games" organized and operated by the Française des Jeux (FDJ) on its territory until December 31, 2012.

To understand, you have to know that part of the sums wagered at the scratch games and lottery of La Française des Jeux goes to the winners and the other is allocated to what are called the structural endowments of the matching funds, part of which to the communities on which the games were made.

The administrative court estimated the amount of the sums due at 1,8 million euros between January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2012. It thus condemned the State to pay this sum to the Collectivity of Saint-Martin. (More details on www.soualigapost.com)
