WEATHER: The next three months will be "abnormally dry"

At the end of an abnormally dry rainy season is now shaping up to be a dry season which is also abnormally dry, Météo France indicates.

“The temperature of the Atlantic Ocean upstream of our islands and the forced subsidence aloft will influence the weather for the next few months. They are unfavorable to precipitation during the next quarter. They should therefore be normal to slightly drier in Guadeloupe, and even drier as they approach the northern islands, ”explains Météo France, which also specifies that temperatures will be“ normal to very episodically slightly warmer ”until the month of February.

The September-October-November 2021 period is one of the driest in the past 70 years. In September and October, Saint-Martin recorded a precipitation deficit of around 20%. In October, it fell 98 mm of rain against 156 mm in 2020 and 102 mm in 2019. In September, it fell 68 mm of rain against 60 mm last year and 102 two years ago.
