The start of the school year will take place under practically normal conditions on 1er September: the only constraint is the wearing of a compulsory mask for children from 11 years old, that is to say for middle and high school students.

The mask can be disposable or reusable (fabric). "During the confinement, the prefecture and the COM had carried out Operation A mask for all, which had made it possible to distribute a mask to all the children", recalled the president. The rector also indicated that the back-to-school bonus has been increased to allow parents to be able to buy masks if necessary. Masks will also be given to scholarship students if needed.

Daniel Gibbs also indicated that the COM has equipped all the establishments with hydroalcoholic gel and soap so that the pupils can wash their hands when entering the establishments, in the rooms. “Schools will be restocked, stocks have been made,” he said.

The timetables put in place after confinement until the July holidays are abandoned. There will be no groups since the social distancing rule is removed. All children will therefore be welcomed at the same time. "If the health situation becomes more severe, more restrictive measures can be taken", however confirmed the rector.

Christine Gangloff-Ziegler finally confided that protocols have been drafted and will be applied if a student, teacher or staff shows signs of covid-19. “The person will immediately be isolated. If it is a child, his parents will be called so that his parents come to pick him up, ”she explained. "If there is a cluster, work will be carried out with the ARS and the prefecture in order to know whether it is necessary to close a class, or the establishment," she added.

Finally, school transport will be provided normally as well as extracurricular, confirmed President Gibbs and Vice-President Annick Petrus.
