Saint-Martin firefighters intervened shortly before 14 p.m. this afternoon to rescue a drowning victim.
The young man, taken out of the water by swimmers, was already in cardiac arrest and despite the rapid intervention of the emergency services, he died on the beach of Grand-Case.
On the spot there was also an ambulance, the SMUR and the gendarmes who opened an investigation.
