School transportation will not be provided this Monday, March 2

0

As part of the school transport market for which we have been awarded, we would like to inform the public of the non-payment of our services since the start of the school year in September 2019.

After months of back-and-forth between the different services of the Collectivity, each one passing the buck, we were informed of the obligation to reassess the transport lines in January 2020!

The period of the major school holidays is reserved for this type of reassessment, and that it should have taken place before the start of the 2019 school year. But of course, so as not to hinder the transport service, and in order to show you our good will, we have agreed to continue working and transporting the students without paying any bills until today! We ask the Collectivity and its agents, the same rigor in the payment of the services, which they impose upon us when awarding contracts (compliance with standards, calculation of cost of revenues, update of social and fiscal contributions, vehicles of under 10 years old, qualified and trained staff…) On this date, we complied with all the new existing provisions (applicable or not in Saint-martin), in order to improve our skills and qualification for school transport.

As a reminder, The vehicles that we make available for school transport, due to the timetables, are exclusively reserved for school transport, and therefore cannot be used for other services.

Our margins on these markets are very small and controlled at the time of procurement. They do not make it possible to create the cash necessary for the survival of our structures over several months of non-payment of invoices, thus ... On this date, after 6 months of invoices due, our companies are exhausted:

- More cash

- Renegotiated bank credit lines are largely outdated

- We can no longer pay salaries

- We can no longer pay our charges

- Our monthly debits are rejected

- Unpaid invoices accumulate (fixed charges and variable charges)

This situation is more than alarming, because it leads straight to the bankruptcy of our companies. We cannot continue in this situation, so we inform you that school transport will not be provided for  back to school on March 2, 2020. Until TOTAL payment of our invoices. At the same time, we hired a lawyer to assess the financial losses and late payment fees inherent in the default. We would be grateful if you would notify the parents of the students so that arrangements can be made for this start of the school year, until further notice.
