Here are the latest practical information communicated by the Community

 The EDF network

Out of 16 homes, 000 are supplied with electricity.

Out of 241 transformer stations, 231 are now secure

All schools (public and private) are supplied with electricity

25 generators have been installed in areas where the networks have not yet been rehabilitated. These generators can power around twenty homes.

To put the Saint-Martin network back into operation, EDF has mobilized 200 operational staff, a service 7 days a week is provided.

  Cleaning up the territory

The cleaning of the territory continues. The community plans a gradual return to normal from the clean-up program. About 25 companies will continue to intervene on behalf of the community, with the aim of returning to normal operation from Monday, October 9, 2017.

Distribution

According to figures put forward by the refrigeration company Frigodom, based in the port of Galisbay and requisitioned by the state, 204 tonnes of water and food have been distributed in Saint Martin since the passage of Hurricane Irma . These donations were distributed to the population of Saint-Martin by civil security, firefighters and the community of Saint-Martin. Distribution management was provided by COD 917 and 972 from the state.

137 food pallets were stored, including 20 combat rations and 000 water pallets. 29m300 of water will arrive this Wednesday to be distributed to the population.

As for the equipment (tarpaulins - claws - wood), the community has set up an organization under the authority of the director of the Port aimed at receiving these gifts and distributing them.

  The public service

The community pursues its public service mission. It has set up registry offices on Saturday October 7 and Saturday October 14 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to allow disaster victims to complete their formalities: passport application, identity card, civil status documents.

Community services are open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 13 p.m.

Driving ban: 23 p.m. - 5 a.m.

The ban on driving on the territory of the community of Saint-Martin was set from 23 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting this evening, by prefectural decree.
