Last December, the President Daniel Gibbs and the CEO of BUSINESS France by Mr. Christophe Lecourtier jointly signed a partnership agreement which gives greater resources to the economic development strategy of the Community and this, in particular, in terms of visibility with foreign investors.

Since this date, the economic sector of Saint-Martin has benefited from the support of BUSINESS France which is a French government agency present in 124 countries responsible for supporting the projects of companies or foreign investors who are looking for establishments or opportunities on French territory. Thanks to the agreement, BUSINESS France connects, at their request, national or international companies to local entrepreneurs when they are looking for a partnership.

The Delegation for Economic Development of the Community, chaired by vice-president Yawo Nyuiadzi, ensures the animation of this new partnership. The signing of an agreement marks the entry of Saint-Martin into TEAM FRANCE INVEST, whose mission is to "collectively promote the attractiveness of France and its territories by prospecting and supporting international investments that create jobs and of added value ”.

Thanks to this agreement, the technicians of the Collectivity in charge of the interface with our partner will have access to the SINPA platform which centralizes the investment projects detected by the Chargé d'Affaires Invest international from BUSINESS France. They will thus be able to highlight the advantages of Saint-Martin with potential investors.

If necessary and at the exclusive request of the Collective, BUSINESS France will assist in the drafting of territorial offers in the area of economic development.

From the coming weeks, the technicians of the Economic Development Delegation responsible for the attractiveness of the territory and for supporting companies will set up a videoconference schedule with the Business France network in order, in particular, to present the advantages of the territory.

Finally, BUSINESS France will support the Economic Development Delegation within the framework of the Co-prospection of international investors and this mainly for the necessary increase in the accommodation offer or also for projects relating to economic diversification of our territory.
