Free car carcass removal continues

0

The Department of Environment and Living Environment of the Collectivity of Saint-Martin reminds the population that the removal of vehicle carcasses and other bulky metal, on the public highway, is still operational.

The operation began on April 1, 2016 and continues until further notice. Free wreck collection is offered to any owner wishing to dispose of an end-of-life vehicle. It is specified that the removal of end-of-life vehicles exclusively concerns the public domain of the community, it cannot take place in condominiums and private garages.

Ultimately, vehicles parked on the public road considered as end-of-life vehicles (ELV) or in abandoned condition will be removed by the Community.

The Collectivity of Saint-Martin encourages the population to take advantage of this free public service and recalls that the removal of car carcasses is a civic gesture which contributes to the enhancement of our environment and makes it possible to fight effectively against viruses transmitted by the mosquito.
