Jérôme Beaupère school closed… due to water leaks

0

At the end of 2019, the Jérôme Beaupère nursery school located at Sandy Ground was facing plumbing problems. Some of the buildings were no longer supplied with water because it had been cut off due to leaks. A few days later another pipe broke in the yard. All of the leaks have been repaired.

A year later, same situation. Enlarged. In fact, the entire establishment was deprived of water on Monday. The general power supply had to be cut because leaks were observed at the level of two classrooms; puddles formed there. Parents were called in the middle of the day to pick up their children. After a morning of class, the school therefore closed its doors to the 204 children it welcomes.

The management immediately contacted the services of the Collectivity; a plumber came to see the damage. According to him, the pipes which are behind a wall, have broken; to repair them, the wall would have to be demolished. An estimate has been drawn up. Pending work, the school remains closed.

In addition, the Aline Hanson elementary school next door, also has part of its buildings (including the toilets) not supplied with water due to a leak. (soualigapost.com)
