Following the passage of Hurricane Matthew over Haiti, major cyclone of the 4th category, the Rotary-club of Saint-Martin Nord is appealing for donations for the provision of emergency shelters for the thousands of homeless people in the affected regions from this country.

The teams of the organization “Shelterbox” are ready to intervene as soon as conditions allow, in coordination with the relief organizations already on site and with the assistance of the Rotary-clubs of Haiti located in most of the cities of the country. .

Each of these Shelterboxes can accommodate 10 people and is equipped with blankets, kitchen equipment, small equipment, water treatment products, etc. They are currently available in Florida and can be shipped very quickly in Haiti. The cost of each shelter is $ 1 (or € 000) and a "tracking" system is provided, allowing the final destination of the containers to be tracked online. All donations, even small ones, are welcome, given the urgency and scale of the disaster. "Unity is strength !"

Please send or deposit your donations, by check only, and made payable to Rotary (with the mention action Shelterbox Haiti), to one of the following addresses:

- Rotary-club of St-Martin nord, BP 1177, Marigot, 97150 St-Martin

- Minguet Gallery, Rambaud

- Local of the SNSM (National Society for Rescue at Sea), in front of the Fort-Louis marina, next to the Restaurant O Plongeoir.
