President Daniel Gibbes met, on Monday April 24, the governor of Sint-Maarten, Eugène Holiday, during a courtesy visit to Philipsburg.
The President of the community, in fact, wished to meet with dignitaries from neighboring territories from the start of his mandate, in order to introduce himself and initiate the first exchanges in the field of regional cooperation.
The President and the Governor were thus able to discuss current files, cooperative actions common to the two territories, and more broadly share their vision of north-south cooperation. The strong will of President Gibbes for a strong transversality with Sint-Maarten was very well received.
The President will soon visit the Prime Minister of Sint-Maarten, Williams Marlin, with whom he wishes to work closely.
