The Collectivity of Saint-Martin proceeded last Friday to repair the Lady Liberty statue, a symbolic statue located on the Agrément road. IRMA had, in fact, broken the arm of this sculpture by artist Théo Bonev, enthroned on the Agrément roundabout, at the entrance to Marigot.
Led by the Human Development Pole of the community and its Culture department, this intervention was carried out transversally with the technical services of the community, which using a basket enabled the company L'art de Fer d '' repair the statue's arm. The technical services have also restarted the electrical network on the roundabout, so that Lady Liberty will be lit again in the evening. The temporary lantern fixed in the left hand of the statue comes from an anonymous gift. It will soon be replaced by a more appropriate lantern.
