Mother who kidnapped daughter will be tried on Wednesday

The twenty-eight-year-old woman who had kidnapped her three-year-old daughter from social services on Friday afternoon will be presented this morning before the Saint Martin Criminal Court in immediate appearance. 

"The defendant will be judged for the counts of subtraction of minors by ascendant and retention outside France, voluntary violence without incapacity for work on persons charged with a public service mission - in this case civil servants of the social assistance service to the childhood of the Collectivity - voluntary degradation of property of a person entrusted with a public service mission and driving of a vehicle under the influence of narcotics ”, indicates the detached public prosecutor of Saint-Martin.

She was transferred to the courthouse on Monday afternoon and then placed in pre-trial detention pending trial.
