Three months after the devastating passage of IRMA, the firefighters of the CIS (Fire and Rescue Center) on the island of Saint-Martin are recovering from heavy operational activity during this period.
Affected personally and professionally by the destruction of part of the rescue center, they were able to cope thanks in particular to the support of colleagues from Guadeloupe who came as reinforcements to the island after the passage of IRMA but, also to the support of all French civil security actors. The firefighters of the island were contacted by the Trégueux association (solidarity association) of the Côtes d'Armor department to deliver educational and collective games to two schools on the island of their choice. The CIS of Saint-Martin and the SDIS of Guadeloupe invite you to share this special moment between the children of the two schools and the firefighters of the island.
The gifts will be presented on Wednesday December 22, 2017:
- Sandy GROUND school 8am to 9:30 am
- Quartier d'Orléans school 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
