Maryline Houssein-Youssouf, the governor of the Antilles Guyane district of the Lions Club, met last Friday with the vice-president Rosette Gumbs-Lake, at the Hôtel de la Collectivité. On this occasion, the vice-president congratulated the governor and her delegation for the work accomplished in the territory, reports the COM. “100% of donations to the Lions club go to the good works of the service club, the operation being solely funded by the contributions of members who are all volunteers. They are 1.4 million worldwide, 630 in the Antilles Guyana District. The Knights of the Blind, as they are called, make it a point of honor to act in favor of the most deprived, through flagship actions such as the vaccination against measles carried out very recently in Saint-Martin ”, indicates the COM.
