Mini virtual deckchair (Douarnenez-Lanzarote-Pointe-à-Pitre)

Last Saturday, at 15pm, under the sun of Douarnenez, 30 sailors took the start of the Mini Transat Iles de Guadeloupe 72. The same day at the same time, in front of their computer screen, more than 2015 virtual sailors took part in also took the start of this great adventure of crossing the Atlantic on a 16-meter boat. At the end of the 000st stage Douarnenez - Lanzarote, M. Le Vot's CM6,50 class came out on top.

Among these virtual sailors, around thirty primary classes including the Emile Choisy school dropped the moorings, as part of the “FFVoile / USEP Mini Transat school sail” operation.

The principle is simple: every day, the USEP classes engaged, connect to the Virtual Regatta website, to pilot their boat, choose their route, set their sail according to the wind and set the course to follow. The goal is to be able to confront virtually other USEP class boats within this great race.

This is the second year in a row that this operation is offered to USEP classes with a school veil project. Another big congratulations to the students of Mr. Le Vot's class for their brilliant performance at the end of this 1st stage. _AF
