Ju-Jitsu: Great success of the 5th Open of free expression!

0

The fifth edition of the Open Islands in the North of free expression took place recently at the Dojo de Concordia. Forty practitioners opposed, in pairs, in a delicate exercise since it involved demonstrating self-defense techniques under the keen eye of Christian Rassouw, 6th dan of Ju-Jitsu.

The practice of Ju-Jitsu requires very special qualities because you have to master techniques of Judo (projections), Karate (strikes), Aikido (submissions), Kuysho (pressure points) and Ne-Waza (soil techniques). It was at the end of a week-long internship led by a high ranking officer that this competition took place. This is to say that the participants, children and adults, had "the pressure" before embarking on the exercise they presented in pairs.

The Joseki, Christian Rassouw, 5th dan in Judo and 6th dan in Ju-Jitsu, Deputy National Technical Director and Expert with the European Federation of Karate and Traditional Martial Arts, remained impressed by the dexterity and progress demonstrated by the all of the practitioners. This Open was also the occasion for a graduation which all approached with great concentration and determination. This year, the Shindokai-kan Karate Club led by Thierry Guedj participated once again in this Open with a good dozen practitioners, all more motivated than each other.

Well done to all those who had the will to tread the tatami and to honor the presence of a Joséki from Metropolitan France and, of course, a big thank you to Christian Rassouw who made us benefit from his great technical qualities, but also human, during this week of internship.
