On the occasion of International Women's Rights Day, the French Red Cross celebrates all women of all ages through two actions to raise awareness of well-being.
Well in his body, well in his head: this is the objective of this day of March 8, 2019 offered on two sites of the French Red Cross in Saint-Martin!
From 9 a.m. to 15 p.m., the team of the Espace Santé Jeunes, located rue Léopold Hyman Quartier Concordia, organizes “the day of the girl”. This is to educate young schoolgirls and high school girls, currently on vacation, the importance of taking care of them by offering to participate in various workshops wellness, self-esteem and health prevention: care of face, yoga initiation, information on eating around a balanced meal, presentation of "how to choose your underwear properly".
From 11 a.m. to 16 p.m., the Maison Croix-Rouge, located 2 rue du Soleil Levant Quartier Concordia, will welcome the Fanm Vayan association and its guests for a day around health and food. The objective is to take advantage of small dishes cooked by the participants to exchange, share, get to know each other better and thus free the voices of women whose daily lives are not always a long, calm river. In the second part of the day, they will be offered a discussion around the passage of Hurricane Irma and the impact of this disaster on their daily lives, led by Arlène JEFFRY, psychologist and referent pyschotrauma on the island of Saint-Martin.
