Fire at Louis-Constant Fleming hospital: Many patients evacuated!

0

The incident was declared at the start of the afternoon yesterday, around 13 p.m., in a technical room located near the cardiology consultation rooms (note: formerly "Audra").

Thanks to the rapid intervention of the firefighters, the flames could be brought under control after twenty minutes.

Due to the toxic fumes given off by the fire, many patients hospitalized in the Maternity, Pediatrics, Medicine and Emergency departments had to be evacuated as a precaution.

Fortunately, no one was injured or bothered by the toxic fumes. According to the first observations made on the spot, the fire was of electrical origin, the fire having started in a technical room. Note the responsiveness of the hospital staff who reacted with great composure, control and common sense to put patients safely!_AF
