Recruitment projects in the territory are increasing. In 2015, there were 1.280 (as in 2014), 350 more than in 2013: a jump of 38%, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (Insee). The construction and public works sector includes 430 projects for the recruitment of “unskilled finishers, masons, plasterers, tilers, drivers of construction and lifting machinery, carpenters and skilled workers in fitting and insulation or skilled construction workers ”, according to the Antilles-Guyana report. As for recruitment projects related to tourism, they are doing well: Saint-Martin has 455 in functions related to sales, tourism and services.
