Gendarmerie / Operation to fight against two wheels circulating in violation of the highway code

An operation targeting two wheels took place last Thursday from 16 p.m. to 18 p.m. in the streets of Concordia in Marigot.

This operation mobilized nearly twenty gendarmes and a crew of the Territorial Police. Following this operation, the following infractions were noted:

- 1 procedure initiated for repeated failure to drive a driving license and lack of insurance.

- 1 procedure initiated for contempt of law enforcement officer.

- 3 stamps fines for lack of technical control.

- 1 fine stamp for not wearing a helmet.

- 1 fine stamp for non-transfer of vehicle registration document.

In addition, 6 two-wheelers were seized for lack of insurance or non-approval to circulate on the road.

As announced by the seconded parquet of Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy which chairs the Local Group of Treatment of the Delinquency "two wheels", more operations in order to fight against the noise nuisances and conducts too risky will be carried out by the police on the island of Saint Martin.

The National Gendarmerie will continue to implement this type of device and on a regular basis in all sectors of the island of Saint-Martin as well as in Saint-Barthélemy.

    What a shame! They bother tourists and workers but they do nothing to the criminals riding without plate and helmets! In sxm you have the most corrupted police and gendarmerie.
