The perpetrator of stabbing attacks on a trader on the Marigot seafront on June 5 afternoon was arrested overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday.
This is a thirty-year-old Saint-Martinois, multiple repeat offenders, suffering from psychological problems and lacking in care.
He had, Tuesday afternoon, attacked a trader on the Marigot seafront with a knife. The man, apparently "cracked" according to the first testimonies collected by the gendarmes, had asked the shopkeeper for money, who had replied that he had none. The assailant then stabbed the victim several times, although the prognosis was not committed.
