During the night of Sunday to Monday, a convenience store in Sandy Ground was looted. A group of individuals entered the establishment after breaking the door, and stole a large quantity of food which they had placed in bags, confirms the parquet floor of Saint-Martin.
Two people were arrested, "one of whom was brought by his parents to the gendarmerie," said the deputy prosecutor. They were placed in police custody. One has already received a summons to the Saint-Martin local court for the month of October, the second should receive his during the day.
The gendarmerie investigation continues in order to identify the other people involved. Footprints were taken on the objects left (bag, shoe).
Since the start of containment, this is the first such event to have occurred in the French part.
