A shooting broke out near a restaurant in Simpson Bay last Saturday around 10:30 am. According to Dutch police, the shots were exchanged between two motorists.
According to the first testimonies collected on the spot by the police, the drivers of two vehicles shot each other.
After the shooting, the two mad shooters, whose identity could not be established, disappeared into the wild. Fortunately, no one in the area was injured.
Dutch police then contacted the Sint Maarten Medical Center to find out if anyone with gunshot wounds had come forward. It turned out that no admission of a person injured by a firearm had taken place.
