The Caribbean School Tests Council, CXC, has informed the 50.000 students enrolled in the baccalaureate and the patent that the tests will be held next July with modifications. In the meantime, the students (the luckiest) are taking the lessons on virtual platforms.

It is on the "web" that the pupils of 3rd and Terminale in the Caribbean have learned that the patent and baccalaureate exams will take place next July. The dates are not yet displayed.
The CXC, Council of Caribbean School Tests, based in Barbados and Jamaica has confirmed that the exams will be modified to take into account the closure of colleges and high schools because of COVID 19.

For the first time in the Caribbean, the assessments made during the school year will be taken into account in the final score of each student. The patent and the baccalaureate will be characterized by a single examination which will bring together all the subjects. The oral tests of modern languages are maintained.
The 50.000 Caribbean students who have to take the certificate or the baccalaureate are, like everyone else, confined to their homes. Those who have a computer and an Internet connection can follow the courses on an educational platform. The less fortunate must manage with textbooks.
