ENVIRONMENT: La Belle Créole, place of all abandonment...

0

Some people prefer to throw their waste on the side of the road on the pretext that in any case they will be picked up by the services of the Collectivity, than to deposit them themselves in the places provided for this purpose. Worse, some will leave them in the wild, on private land where the Collectivity cannot intervene. La Belle Créole has become a privileged site for craftsmen and other unscrupulous citizens.

Along the main axis as well as at the bottom of certain paths one can observe windshields, spare parts of cars, doors, cylinders, etc.

Unscrupulous mechanics are not the only ones to discreetly go to La Belle Créole to throw away their waste, construction workers also go there, and on a regular basis. Accumulate bags of cement, tile scraps, remains of placo, furniture packaging boxes, as much waste and rubble from construction sites. Deposits are made frequently.

There are also those who come to spend the day at the beach. They have a barbecue and/or picnic there. If they collect garbage in garbage bags, some did not understand that La Belle Créole was a private site where garbage collection was not carried out by the Collectivity. So they leave the bags at the foot of a tree, bags that are disembowelled by dogs and cats that have become strays after being abandoned too without scruples.

And so plates, papers fly and end up hung in branches. However, signs indicate that garbage cans should not be left on site.

La Belle Créole, former tourist jewel of the French part, has become an ideal refuge - because it is isolated and easily accessible - for those who, instead of assuming their responsibilities (which are to take their waste to the recycling center or to the ecosite, to find a foster family for his dog or to travel with him) choose the easy way by going to this private land on the pretext that he has not found any investors for decades.
