Environment (Household waste depot): No longer use the street as a dumping ground!

The Collectivity of Saint-Martin reminds the population that garbage bins have been installed throughout the territory, to allow residents of different sectors to deposit their household waste daily. 

In order to observe good citizen behavior, in respect of the environment and the neighborhood, it is advisable to deposit your household waste in the bins provided for this purpose, and not next to these. The deposit of household waste must be done from 18 p.m. (at dusk), the waste being picked up every evening from 20 p.m. (7 days a week).

Bulky items (scrap metal, household appliances, Hi-fi, etc.) are picked up on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 18 p.m. They can be placed near the trash shelters (deposit prohibited on sidewalks or in front of dwellings).

Green waste is collected on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 18 p.m. They must be stored in bags and placed near the garbage shelters (deposit prohibited on sidewalks). The Collectivity reminds artisans, traders and professionals that they are responsible for their waste and its disposal. Unauthorized dumping of household waste, bulky items and green waste are prohibited by law (article L. 541-3 of the environment code). The Collectivity also recalls that as part of the sorting of waste and household recycling, 107 new sorting columns have been installed in the territory, in favor of the recovery of plastic, glass and metal waste.
