At Hope Estate, the goal was to open a second Super U. Work was scheduled to start in September 2017. Finally, it started in February 2018 and has just finished. The initial construction of the building was reviewed after the passage of the hurricane. "We learned from Irma," says Jean-Pierre Deguille. Thus, very few openings in the building were made and the walls were all assembled in concrete. "In Metropolitan France, you are used to seeing large windows at the entrance, it is voluntary that here we did not do it," he said. And his partner added: "We also designed the roof so that it is protected from possible projectiles during a cyclone".
