In the service of Saint-Martinois are two concepts that Anthony Veron uses a lot. Arrived on the territory last January to occupy the function of sector director, Anthony Veron is in particular in charge of the services of La Banque Postale.

In order to reduce the long queues in front of the agency, the director wants to encourage customers to make better use of digital tools. "We have thus set up a service called My French Bank and which is already working very well in Guadeloupe and in mainland France," he explains. Through this device, customers obtain a bank card and can withdraw money without going through the counter and pay for their purchases at merchants. “We have already opened 90 accounts,” says Anthony Veron.

One of the peculiarities on the territory is the holding of only one booklet A. However, this type of accounts complicates basic banking operations. Many recipients of social benefits receive their monthly aid in a livret A and must therefore go to the counter to be able to withdraw part of this money. A list of 200 isolated people holding a single book A was also drawn up.

“Our goal is to explain the difficulties of having only a livret A and opening a current bank account to the customers concerned so that they can manage their money remotely and alone. We contact these people to meet them. We have a proactive approach, ”agrees the network director. And to specify that today, social organizations no longer pay allowances into a savings book to new beneficiaries. (soualigapost.com)
