An incredible kidnapping case was reported to the Sint Maarten police headquarters on Friday, which received a call at around 10:40 a.m. regarding a kidnapping that had taken place in the Cole Bay area. A man of about 20 was reportedly forced by three people into a car.
Sint Maarten police officials immediately informed the gendarmerie of the abduction. The police of Saint-Martin then announced to their counterparts on the Dutch side that the vehicles involved in the kidnapping had been stopped and their occupants arrested. One of the arrested individuals is considered the main kidnapper, while the others are considered accomplices. They were placed in police custody at the La Savane barracks.
The problem is that the victim was not present in one of the two vehicles and that immediately the police and gendarmes do not know where he is or what has happened to him. The vehicles were seized as part of the investigation which is open in both parts of the island.
