EMPLOYMENT: Reduction in the number of subsidized contracts in Saint-Martin

0

According to the assessment of employment policies drawn up by the regional employment directorate of Guadeloupe (Dieccte), a 16,4% drop in the number of so-called skill employment pathway (PEC) or former CAE-CUI contracts is observed in Saint -Martin: 351 contracts were signed in 2018 in the non-profit sector (association) against 420 in 2017.

By way of comparison, 608 PECs were concluded in Guadeloupe last year. "The fall in contracts is linked to the reorientation of public policies in favor of raising skills through training," explains the Dieccte.

In the market sector, companies have signed 92 employment initiative contracts (CIE) in Saint-Martin; it is a little more than a third of CIE registered by the Dieccte Guadeloupe in 2018. (soualigapost.com)
