The president of the Collectivity Aline Hanson received last Thursday the new director of EDF Archipel Guadeloupe Sylvain Vidal and the head of the Northern Islands - EDF Archipel Guadeloupe Arnaud Mignon. This meeting made it possible to tackle many subjects, reports the Collectivity.
Arnaud Mignon confirmed the opening in April 2016 of the new EDF power station in Galisbay, after a slight delay. Among his projects, the director Sylvain Vidal mentioned to the president that he would soon go to Paris within the framework of the new programming of the contribution to the public electricity service (CSPE), which is under discussion. The COM indicates that “the challenge for Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy in this new deal which will come into force on January 1, 2016 is to maintain the solidarity system of equalization, which consists in amortizing the cost of energy for users in our communities, thanks to a globalized national calculation ”. The president and its director general of services (DGS) Philippe Million also presented two projects: the development of the bay and the revitalization of Marigot.
