Eliane Clarke: students deprived of canteen following a dispute between the director and an employee of the CTOS

The pupils of the Eliane Clarke nursery school (Quartier d'Orléans) did not have a canteen on Monday, June 17. Meals were not served following a dispute between the school principal and an administrative officer of the CTOS.

The administrative agent, in charge of ticket sales, is also a union delegate at UTC-UGTG. After three and a half months of strike, she returned to work and shouted scandal when she discovered that the principal of the school had made the decision to move her office to another room in the establishment. Until then, she worked in the same room as the executive secretary. The union considers that the agent was “kicked out” from her workplace and that this is a sanction. "We signed an end-of-conflict protocol on May 17 where it was stated that no sanctions should be taken against strikers," explains Nicole Javois, secretary of the UTC-UGTG section of Saint-Martin. As for the non-distribution of meals on Monday, Nicole Javois specifies that this is not a blockage. The ATSEM walked out that day in solidarity, joined by their union representatives. According to the union representative, the problem is now resolved and the employee must find her original office.
