Presidential election: how the candidates approach overseas

0

The presidential election will take place on Sunday April 23 and May 8 in mainland France. Due to the time difference, in the Antilles, it will take place on Saturdays April 22 and Sunday May 7. Eleven candidatures were deposited and validated by the constitutional council: Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, Marine Le Pen, Emmanuel Macron, Benoît Hamon, Nathalie Arthaud, Philippe Poutou, Jacques Cheminade, Jean Lassalle, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, François Asselineau and François Fillon ( order established following the draw). Most applicants have plans for overseas, some are more detailed than others. First there are those who present a synthetic national program and who, moreover, return in more depth to certain themes, including overseas. This is the case of Marine Le Pen, Emmanuel Macron, Benoît Hamon and Jean-Luc Mélenchon. Then there are the candidates who present a more complete national program including a section devoted to overseas. This is the case of Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, Jacques Cheminade, François Asselineau and François Fillon. For her part, Nathalie Arthaud explains that she made the choice not to distinguish the overseas territories of the metropolis and offers a joint program that applies throughout the territory.

Finally, Philippe Poutou and Jean Lassalle do not present specific measures for overseas in their program. The first simply evokes overseas through various articles and the second makes no reference to it. (More details on www.soualigapost.com)
