The SEGPA, Section d'Enseignement Général et Professionnelle Adapté, has opened its doors at the Collège du Mont des Accords in Concordia in order to highlight its students and their work.

The SEGPA, whose deputy director is Madame Magali Jasaron and which aims to put young people into practical action, receives students with educational difficulties whose orientation is done from the sixth grade. Pupils, sometimes spotted from CM1, follow general education courses up to third.

From the fourth, they participate in workshops which allow them to discover trades. At the Collège du Mont des Accords, three trades are given pride of place: housing trades where students try their hand at carpentry, masonry and painting; sales professions where young people have built their own store where they sell items made during the school year (small benches, tables); and the hygiene, food and service professions where the cooking workshop was busy offering cakes and other sweets to Open House visitors. This action not only aims to show what these resourceful children have managed to produce and create but also to value them, by giving them a proud image of themselves and revealing their potential to students following a more educational path. classic. The young people of SEGPA have also recently collaborated with the NGO Électriciens Sans Frontières, which entrusted them with the distribution of 200 Schneider solar lamps. Ideal opportunity for his students to immerse themselves in the sales itself since they have managed the customer file, the calls, the trips and the distribution, with success. 80 students are now part of this section which has opened another branch in Quartier d'Orléans for the 6th and 5th (the 4th will be accessible from next year), thus allowing the young people of Quartier and Grand-Case to '' easier access to this type of study, the fruit of many talents. _VX
