On Saturday August 27 and Saturday September 3, the swimming school organized two open house mornings to test the level of young swimmers and register for courses available year-round.
SXM Swimming, whose swimming pool is located behind GymFit (upstairs) in Hope Estate, offers swimming lessons for children from 4 years old every day of the week divided into several classes. Different levels are available, in the category of beginners as well as for that of confirmed. It is the level of the child that determines in which class he will be integrated, not necessarily his age. Baby swimmers are also represented with lessons on Saturday afternoons, for little ones from 4 to 18 months and from 18 months to 3 years old.
Saturday's program ends with the water garden. During the two mornings of open houses, parents and children went to meet Jeremy, lifeguard, who has the gift of revealing the fish that is in you. After a discussion with the parents, Jeremy tested the level of the children present. The swim fry was put to good use. Throughout the two hours, many people followed one another to the delight of the little ones who also had the freedom to dive into the pool, under Jeremy's supervision. Great crowds this Saturday, September 3, which proves the importance of mastering the art of swimming on an island territory where swimming pools are also legion. Registration is already open for year-round courses. Private lessons are also given by Jeremy for adults wishing to learn to swim or perfect their breaststroke technique.
