The grants are financed with the help of European funds and the registration portal is open until until November 30. By the end of September, the first commission for the allocation of territorial grants will be held, in order to be able to pay the first tranche in the last quarter of 2023. On the issue of school transport, an annual budget of €1.1M will be devoted with an estimated enrollment of 1425 students for the 2023-2024 academic year, with an annual amount of €140 per child payable by the parents. The CTOS school canteen will accommodate 3.700 children. The first phase of work including new air conditioners in certain school canteens has been completed. The second will be launched in 2024. Canteen prices, ranging from €2,50 to €4,50 and decreasing depending on the number of children, are adjustable according to family income. The CTOS is expecting 800 children in after-school activities, double the number last year. Thanks to the Educational City deployed at Sandy Ground, annual activities will be scheduled. Students in the neighborhood will benefit from breakfast every school morning. During the press conference, Dominique Démocrite Louisy recalled the importance of respecting places of learning and education. The degradation of schools is an unacceptable act which penalizes children. The Community invites all parents to transmit this strong message to their young people.
