A program initiated by the ARIANA association, "MIX'ART SAINT MARTIN 2022" took place last week, with many artistic workshops focusing on street art, music and opera, to the delight of some 500 students present for the event!
Since 2009, ARIANA, an educational association with a national vocation, has been developing "MIX'ART" educational, artistic and civic programs thanks to the support of public and private institutional partners for young people in priority neighborhoods in France and overseas to work for their socio-cultural integration and their appropriation of the artistic heritage and values of the Republic by mobilizing musicians and visual artists. 500 young people have been mobilized since Monday in the creation of canvases, stencils, murals and introduced to music with Mozart's majestic opera "The Magic Flute". The workshops represented here in photos were held in four schools: the Aline Hanson primary school where the Parisian artist Hajar Masbah accompanied the pupils of CP, CE1 and CM1 in the realization of five canvases of street art and an exterior wall the school on the general themes of the environment and nature of the Caribbean; Daniella Jeffry Vocational High School with the class of Lily Hinchfoot, fine arts teacher and well-known artist from the Wall Art St Martin collective, with MASH as artistic guide, who tackled with eighteen students from first to ten street art paintings on the history and geography of the Caribbean; the Roche Gravée College in Moho with this time more than twenty students from 6th, 5th, 4th and 3rd grades, supervised by the artist ESPA to paint ten street art canvases on Caribbean culture; and finally the Lycée Robert Weinum, with the 6th CHAM class and its 23 students for the "MIX'ART MUSIQUE" workshop with the intervention of four professional musicians, namely Camille Théveneau (violin), Emmanuelle Isenmann (soprano), Ismaël Margain (piano) and Jean-Christophe Sampson (transverse flute) to introduce them to classical music and opera. _VX
