The Saint-Martin candidates for the DNB 2018, the national diploma of the patent, were able to discover their results yesterday, Tuesday July 10, even if some establishments only posted them today. The third year students inaugurated the new DNB this year, rebalanced between assessment of the base (continuous assessment) and final exams. The overall success rate for students enrolled in public institutions is 65,6%. They are 252 out of 384 candidates to have obtained their patent.

Unlike in previous years, the Collège de Quartier d'Orléans obtained the best score with 76,9% admitted (83 out of 108 candidates), followed by the Soualiga college with 53 admitted out of 84 (63,1% ), then Mont des Accords with 116 admitted out of 193 candidates, (60,4%). In the professional series, the success rate is 48,2%. In addition, 25 of the 26 candidates from the private college-high school Victor Schoelcher obtained their diploma.

As a reminder, the overall success rate at DNB in Saint-Martin in 2017 was 75,3%, 10 points more than this year.

“We can fully estimate that this decrease is due to the post-Irma context and the difficult learning and teaching conditions” comments Michel Sanz, IA-DAASEN of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin.
