EDU'CAMP 2022: A successful first edition!

34 young people took part in the first edition of the EDU'CAMP system set up by the youth service of the Saint-Martin community, under the aegis of vice-president Dominique Louisy and territorial councilor Raphaël Sanchez.

The children were welcomed in the morning at the Daniella JEFFRY Professional High School, from July 11 to July 29, for learning sessions through fun, cultural and sports activities. 

A big thank you to the partner associations who responded to the call for applications launched by the COM: 

Future Reflection Association: "My island and me" whose objective was to help children become aware of the importance of taking care of their island, of getting involved in social life and its sustainable development.

Association Cobraced: Enhance the learning base of children through the contribution of digital culture with the aim of promoting Edu'Camp.

Association Advancement and Development of the Youth: board games and games of skill workshops aimed at developing children's motivation and concentration. The objective: To encourage autonomy and a sense of initiative; Work on the fundamentals (patience, listening to instructions and perseverance), a playful approach promoting social diversity.

Association Soualigan Slangs: Discover the games of yesteryear and make traditional kites using everyday objects.

Association T-Aby: Sewing workshop with the aim of making a bag from jeans or an old garment.

Association Anise: Digital photo and coding workshops, robotics.

Edu'Carib Association: School coaching (examples: how to revise effectively?  Learn to learn ; How to optimize your workspace?).

  Association Mixop: “Green smoothies” and “Fun tasting” workshops.

The children also practiced various sports activities offered by the Sport Department of the Community under the aegis of the territorial councilor Marc G Ménard.

The Collectivity of Saint-Martin would like to thank the professional high school of Marigot for its warm welcome as well as all the people who gave their time to make this first edition a success. 

Congratulations to the children who were very diligent and invested in the projects.
