Chess players discovered last Sunday an ideal place for the practice of the king of games: the restaurant La Bodega in Jordan Village Cupecoy.
For its first participation, Avalon Washington did not go unnoticed. 7 games, 7 victories: he swallowed everything in his path! A real treat for him, an indigestion for his opponents. Also a newcomer to the Saint-Martin chess landscape, Ludovic Pain did not run on dry bread at the Bodega. He took an excellent second place giving a good response to Avalon. Victim of the first two, Cyril L'Huillier pulled himself together to win a 3rd place meritorious. Yashwant Vaswani, used to the podiums, had to settle for 6th place but promised to take revenge at the next tournament. By having lunch before the tournament at the Bodega, Jeremie Picarle gained strength to take an honorable 8th place. Thanks to Carrefour for the nice lots.
