The organizing committee of the SXM ESPORT FESTIVAL 2022 unveils the program of the first video game and digital festival of Saint-Martin, which will be held on July 16 at the Halle des Sports in Marigot.
For this 1st edition, children, young people and their families will be able to immerse themselves in the world of video games for free, take part in workshops and discover opportunities in this sector which is more than just a hobby.
The Festival invites visitors to play the greatest hits of the moment on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. In addition, many tournaments will be organized, in particular on the Hits Just Dance 2022, Call of Duty, NBA 2K, TEKKEN 7, FIFA 22 or Gran Turismo 7.
Digital and interactive workshops are accessible free of charge: from coding to 3D modelling, via robotics, digital printing, but also virtual and augmented reality or even drone piloting.
For the occasion, several international pro-gamers will be present to discuss with the public. The founders of FUSION JEUNESSE will also be present and will talk about professional opportunities.
E-Sport in the Caribbean and the Pan American Games of 2023 where E-Sport will be an official discipline will be presented by the leaders of the E-sport confederation of the Caribbean and Central America.
During this first edition, parents, children, family and friends will be able to discuss the use of video games as an educational medium through numerous workshops, conferences and stands. Coaches, psychologists, opticians and reflexologists will discuss the dangers, but also the benefits of video games.
The presentation being made, see you now on July 16 for the International Tournament during which you will have the chance to face the best local players against the "gratin" of E-Sport from the Dutch side, Saint-Barth and from Anguilla.
Non-stop entertainment scheduled all day from 9 a.m. to 18 p.m.
