Exceptional assistance system for restarting tourism businesses in Saint-Martin and Saint-Barth

In 2019, the State is putting in place exceptional assistance to revive tourism sector businesses that have stopped or slowed down because of the consequences of cyclone IRMA.

This aid targets in priority the economic activities and agents exercising in the sector of reservation services or organization of travel, vacation, leisure or event operations for external or foreign consumers, manufacturing or sale. products representing local know-how or promoting the image of the island for foreign tourists. The aid will be allocated within the limit of the budget of 200 €. Companies benefiting from exceptional restart aid or aid from the overseas relief fund awarded in 000 for damage suffered after Cyclone Irma struck cannot claim the benefit of this aid.


Eligibility criteria All Very Small Enterprises (TPE) are eligible:

- up to date with their social and tax contributions or having filed a moratorium request with the organizations concerned,

- registered in the trade and companies register, or in the trades and crafts directory,

- whose main activity is in the tourism sector,

- whose turnover does not exceed € 500 - justifying a workforce of between one and nine employees.

  Amount of aid:

The amount of aid is set at € 1000, provided that the company justifies an eligible expenditure of at least an equivalent amount. The aid is granted to companies which can justify material (equipment or stocks, fitting out of premises) or digital (e-commerce) expenses incurred in the last 6 months or to come no later than April 30, 2019.
