Appointed in the Council of Ministers on February 14, Mostafa Fourar, the new rector of the Academy of Guadeloupe is going to the northern islands for the second time since taking office. It was Thursday March 15 in Saint-Martin and today in Saint-Barthélemy.

"I will come back as many times as necessary," he said this morning at the school hall, accompanied by Michel Sanz the assistant academic director, during a meeting with a dozen teachers and members of the Board of Directors of the Soualiga college, as well as principal Emmanuelle Dubois and her recently appointed assistant, Christophe Parisot.

Following the devastating passage of Irma, students and teachers of the Soualiga college, severely damaged, have been welcomed at the Robert Weinum school complex since November 6. 399 of the 650 students enrolled at the start of the school year returned. 75 of them have since been educated at Mont des Accords or Robert Weinum. The 324 students still enrolled at Soualiga College and their fifty teachers are welcomed at the school complex every afternoon of the week and Saturday morning.

Jérémy Huot, teacher and member of the Board of Directors reported to the rector the collective observation made by the educational team: “We have observed a drop in level since the start of Christmas which we think is due to the imposed pace of working in the afternoon . "
