Two armed robberies in Cole Bay

Busy weekend for the Dutch police officers who had to intervene in two armed robberies committed in the Cole Bay area.

The first robbery took place around 16 p.m. Sunday at a supermarket in Simpson Bay. According to information gathered from the victims, a tall and thin man, dressed in black with his face concealed, entered the store wielding a gun before grabbing the contents of the cash register. The perpetrator then fled in an unknown direction on a black scooter that was parked nearby.

Fifteen minutes later, police were called to Billy Folly's road again for a second robbery at another business.

The perpetrator was also described by witnesses as tall and thin, dressed in black. Well…

Still, the latter fled on a scooter towards the Kruitoff roundabout with the recipe of the day.

Investigators are asking anyone with any information to contact Sint Maarten Police at +1 721-542 542 22 ext 22 204 or 205 to speak to a detective.
