Victim of a violent attempt to steal a car, in other words a car jacking, a tourist couple was seriously injured while resisting their criminals, last Thursday. The scene occurred around 22 p.m., at Nettle Bay.
The thieves had probably prepared their coup. While carrying out a maneuver to return to the parking lot of their hotel, two tourists were forced by two individuals to stop their vehicle. But the driver is not intimidated, he stands up to one of the attackers. The situation degenerates: the robber then fires two shots and injures the victim in the left leg. At the same time, his partner is violently struck, his head against the ground. The two thugs then leave the place and disappear into the wild on board the vehicle, which will be immobilized later in the Dutch part thanks to its geolocation. The two victims, in shock, were transferred to the Louis-Constant Fleming hospital center. An investigation was opened and entrusted to the Saint-Martin research brigade. _AF
