What will you keep as a souvenir of your visit to the Northern Islands?
I lived a rich and varied experience, which allowed me to create a real service of proximity with the teachers and the pupils. As the representative of the rector, my mandate was really diverse: a presidential visit, a cyclone to manage, the launch of the school complex, etc. In order to enhance the heritage, I had a real pleasure in putting tourism education in the spotlight in secondary establishments.
What do you think are the emergencies to manage?
The prevention of illiteracy and the prevention of delinquency are the two priorities: a lot of work is to be carried out. These two factors are intimately linked in my opinion. Our future delinquents are illiterate young people who cannot integrate into society.
I was delighted with the reception which was reserved for me, both at the level of the Collectivity, as well as union representatives, staff and parents of students. I would like to salute the professionalism of the school leaders. Without them, a representative of the rector is nothing.
