The police have been deployed in the Baie-Mahault-Pointe-à-Pitre-Abymes agglomeration since the escape yesterday morning of two men incarcerated at the Baie-Mahault penitentiary center.
No explanation is yet given on the conditions of this escape. The two men are said to have removed the bars from their cells, but nothing yet explains their exit from the prison grounds.
The public prosecutor of Pointe-à-Pitre should be responsible for the direction of research and the information that will be communicated in this regard.
The two men were convicted of criminal cases. They are actively sought.
